All across this great land commendable people have offered their time and effort to serve in government and law enforcement. They honestly want to contribute to the betterment of society by making their personal contribution.

ON THE OTHER HAND, there are a percentage who engage in corruption and other unethical and downright illegal activity while in such positions. They give a bad name to those who honestly serve - and erode the public's confidence in government and law enforcement.
